Six Months Served, Bos Nokia unit withdrew

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - executive vice president who heads the unit of Nokia Mobile Phone preached to resign from office. When only six months since Richard A. Simonson holds that office.
Simonson is not new to Nokia. Almost ten years devoted his life in the Nokia. Before serving as executive vice president, Simonson served as CFO (Chief Financial Officer).
Simonson said that the busy traveling here and there now have to burden his family life. He wants to spend more time with his wife and children. That's why he chose to resign. Simonson decision will cause a question mark. Because he decided to come out when Nokia is doing restructuring and not long after the end of the year shareholders' meeting.
"Typically, a company created a buzz like this before a meeting of shareholders and use the meeting to put it in context," said John Strand mobile industry consultant quoted by the New York Times. "It's hard for me to believe that people do not consider the number of trips that will be involved before taking the job."
